Nawab is a favourite Indian restaurant for many, renowned chef Mr Shokat Ali has years of experience, since 2005 the custom-built Failsworth premises have been serving diners to their delights, more recently in 2007 Shokat has opened a new buffet style restaurant on Queens Road in the City Centre.

The Nawab Restaurant has won many culinary awards for its cuisine, Its famous signature dish the “The 'Nawab Special' – a slow-cooked chicken dish in a spicy yoghurt based masala sauce cooked with cashew nuts and fried onions is an all time favourite with the regular clientele. The `Lamb Haandi', a speciality from the Punjab cooked in a traditional Haandi pot is a close second to The Nawab Special. The extensive list of starters includes favourites such as lamp chops in a special masala sauce and `Chicken Bhuna on Puri'. Starters range from £1.95 to £5.50, main courses from £5.25 to £12.95 and deserts from £1.75 to £4.50.
